We are the Government Radiological Technologists Association is the registered Trade Organization of SLMC that includes technologists of Government Health Care Sector. . Its prime objective is to secure professional and trade rights in keeping with the recognized national and international conventions and standards.
It was formally established on 4th July, 1948 [ incidentally coinciding with the year,i.e.1948, in which Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) did gain its independence from direct British rule] under the name of G.X.T.O.A.- Government X’ray Technical Officers’ Association. Subsequently, it came to be named as (GRTA) Government Radiological Technologists’ Association.
We strive to discharge our duties and responsibilities adhering to the accepted norms. Also, we tend secure conducing working environment and palatable remunerations whiles seeking advancements of professional and technical competencies. We have committed ourselves to the comradeship and cordiality rapport with membership.
The recent evolution of digital technology, globally and locally, has called for our Association also to adopt a novel way of digitalization of data-application. I am confident that this new venture of website will be the entry into the digital era of activities thereby adding the benefits of efficiency, transparency of information and cost benefits to our Association.
I am pleased with our initiative to create a dedicated website for managing vital data of membership has reached its final operational phase. This web system will enable us to gradually be a member of the paperless world without compromising the integrity and protection of data. I wish every success to the new venture.
I am pleased with this initiative to create a digital data management system. The management of Association decided to invest part of its financial resources to this new venture after careful analysis of benefits that will add to the Association. I sincerely wish all success to this new endeavor by setting examples to others also.
